Between the lines, Behind the Lens 5

The GUIDON launches its 5th Between the Lines, Behind the Lens contest for photography,graphic design, and essay writing. An annual fundraising project, BTL was born from The GUIDON's thrusts of showcasing journalistic excellence and reaching out beyond the Ateneo community

Graphic Design
1. The theme of the graphic design competition is "Gotham City." The fictitious city that is home to Batman, the theme can be described as dark, highly urbanized and cosmopolitan. GothamCity can also be likened to "New York City at night."
2. A maximum of three (3) artworks per person may be submitted.
3. Entrance fee is PhP50 per artwork for students enrolled in any university and PhP100 per artwork for non-student participants (alumni, faculty).
4. Entries may be€“ monochrome or colored.
5. Submit a hard and soft copy of the entry. Submit the soft copy in a CD. Take note of the following format:
a. 8" x 10", CMYK, *.tif
b. The hard copy should be placed on the black side of a 1/8 size illustration board.
c. Indicate the title of the piece, software used, and sources of images on the upper right hand corner of the white side of the illustration board.
d. Write your full name, age, university, graphic design club or organization (if any), email address, and mobile phone number on the lower right corner. All submitted artworks should not have been entered in any previous competition or exhibit.
6. Criteria:
a. Creativity and aesthetics……50%
b. Originality…………………..30%
c. Relevance to the theme……..20%
7. Contestants are responsible for any charge of plagiarism that may arise. Plagiarized entries will not be exhibited.
