Between the lines, Behind the Lens 5
The GUIDON launches its 5th Between the Lines, Behind the Lens contest for photography,graphic design, and essay writing. An annual fundraising project, BTL was born from The GUIDON's thrusts of showcasing journalistic excellence and reaching out beyond the Ateneo community
Explanatory Journalism
1. Contestants may submit an explanatory article on any topic of their choice.
2. Entries must be printed on an 8 ½ x 11 bond paper, double-spaced, using Times New Roman font, size 12.
3. Each contestant must provide five (5) copies of the article for the BTL Committee and the Board of Judges. They must also provide five (5) copies of each transcript, document, and other reference materials. All of these must be sealed in a short brown envelope labeled with the contestant's pseudonym.
4. Contestants may only write their pseudonyms on the actual entries. A duly accomplished entry form to be provided by The GUIDON must be submitted with the entries. Entry forms should not be included inside the short brown envelope.
5. All sources must be properly cited in the article.
6. Contestants may not submit entries that have been published in any major national daily or that have won in any other competition. They may submit entries that have been published in a school publication.
7. Criteria
a. Completeness of Research….50%
b. Analysis………………...…..30%
c. Originality of Topic…………10%
d. Grammar and Style………….10%
8. Contestants are responsible for any charge of plagiarism that may arise.
