Between the lines, Behind the Lens 5
The GUIDON launches its 5th Between the Lines, Behind the Lens contest for photography,graphic design, and essay writing. An annual fundraising project, BTL was born from The GUIDON's thrusts of showcasing journalistic excellence and reaching out beyond the Ateneo community
Essay
1. The theme of the essay-writing competition is "Lessons to My 10-Year-Old-Self."
2. Entries must be printed on an 8 ½ x 11 bond paper, double-spaced, using Times New Roman font, size 12.
3. Each contestant must provide five (5) copies of the essay for the BTL Committee and the Board of Judges. Each copy must be sealed in a short brown envelope labeled with the contestant's pseudonym.
4. Contestants may only write their pseudonyms on the actual entries. A duly accomplished entry form to be provided by The GUIDON must be submitted with the entries. Entry forms should not be included inside the short brown envelope.
5. All reference materials used for the essay must be cited in a separate bibliography page. Contestants are responsible for any charge of plagiarism that may arise.
6. Contestants cannot submit entries that have been previously published or that have won in any essay-writing competition.
7. Criteria
a. Content and Depth………50%
b. Coherence……………….30%
c. Grammar and Style……...20%
