Growing up

I guess you could say it's already at that stage, the scary stage of being a parent to a girl.  She is almost done with gradeschool and boys are starting to hang around her.  Recently, I found myself giving her a lengthier talk about boys and relationships...

While most parents dread "the talk," this has been an on-and-off topic with us.  Each time is mercifully short.  Each time made me a wee bit more paranoid.  This recent lengthier talk sent my heart doing an all out stomp-a-palooza and my mind developing images of how I can be scarier to those boys.

She is growing up.. and all too fast.  God help me be sane!

ironic, isn't it?

It's really funny how I have moved after all this time.

this same time last year, i would be short of dancing and chanting for rains for the heat there was.  this year, I want it to rain, but not as much.  I used to love the rain, to bask in it and be in glee when it falls.  now, i'm paranoid about it mostly, though sometimes I still wished that it would rain.  I would be pleasantly surprised when there is rainfall but I would wish for it to end very soon.

got the flood to blame for that.

I never thought I'd be so bipolar about something as uncontrollable as rain.

curled up

i had asked to
curl up in some hole
to let time, the world
move one without me
not to mind me
to let me be

i had been happy
thinking i could be
invisible, unnoticed
unknown by most
left alone
just alone

yet i asked you
to truly know me
love me, need me
to understand who i am
see the real me
touch me deeply

then i got frustrated
because you were there
of the world, with the world
going forward and moving
looking elsewhere
not seeing me
not knowing me

Legion

Rating:
Category:Movies
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy
Talk about disappointing...

Fine, let me start with the good stuff. Animation was rather cool. Cinematography was pretty good too. Costumes were ok. Kate Walsh and Dennis Quaid acted pretty well too... considering...

That aside, the movie was a rip-off.

Remember how normal matrix denizens were turned into agents? Guess what, that's how regular people "got possessed" here.

Remember how Sarah Connor was blonde, pregnant with the dad out of the picture? Remember how a super-protector came to save Sarah and John from another super but a villain this time? And remember how Sarah was supposed to be the mother to guide John so he can save humanity?

The premise of the movie and the title got me hyped about it. Imagine, a Legion of angels ordered to bring on the end of humanity... wow! Darn it, the only time i saw THAT legion was in a moment of reminiscing.

Gee whiz... you create a fight scene between Gabriel and Michael, yes the archangels. Guess which one would most likely win? I mean, you put a messenger right there to fight a general. Gimme a break!

To think we had to spend for this... our first movie in a moviehouse in a loooooong time... such a waste!!!
